HiTech was one of the early adopters of cloud based IT environments. We were Europe’s first dedicated private cloud provider to the self-storage industry, and 1,5 decades later we are still the only one. We have 15 years experience in designing, building, maintaining and developing cloud based environments for our self-storage clients.
Why go private?
With more and more applications being available as a simple subscription service in the public domain, what are actually the benefits to having a private cloud, and why are so many businesses choosing it?
The answer is simple: flexibility, security and control.
A private cloud environment is built to your specifications. The IT solution you have is based on your business needs, and your business needs alone. Once in production, we manage and maintain it for you and as your business grows, develops or changes, so can your IT. Having a private cloud means your IT setup is as flexible as your business is.

The most common myth about private cloud environments is that they are expensive. Our experience has been that in most cases, the gains you get from consolidating all your IT in one place outweighs the added cost of having dedicated technical resources that are yours and yours alone.
In addition, integrating different systems with each other becomes much quicker, cheaper and more stable when all your systems reside in one location.
The HiTech private cloud
Our private cloud environments sit in two ISO-certified, high security and high quality data centres in the Netherlands. These are facilities with humidity control, temperature control, their own dedicated power generators, and high levels of physical security. Our data centre neighbours include companies like ABN Amro and Tele2, so as you can imagine security and quality are keywords for these facilities.
Within our dedicated space, you will find our servers and other hardware, which is where we build your IT environment. We use virtualisation software to make the most of the technical resources, and because we have two data centres, we can offer full fallback and redundancy to the companies who want this.
